Sooner or later you will have to sit down with a future boss and convince that person that you are the best candidate for the job. This workshop will prepare you to navigate the interview as you convey your value. 

Topics covered include:

  • Preparing for the interview: Key items beyond the annual report
  • Making the interview work: Setting the tone of the meeting and delivering your message
  • After the interview: Following up to make your point

Instructor Chip Conlin brings more than 30 years’ experience in human resources to his role at The Five O’Clock Club, the national career counseling organization, where he has been a member since 1996. He maintains an active private practice, advising clients from a variety of professions, including financial services, information technology, marketing and the nonprofit sector. He specializes in helping clients quickly establish the right strategy to promote their career development.

Founded in 1950, the Employment Advisory program at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church is one of the oldest employment groups in the city. Our mission is to help people seeking employment or exploring new career options, as well as those who want to stay up to date in a fast-changing job market.
