Performing Tribute 9/11

Theatre Fellowship of Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church is excited to welcome Performing Tribute 9/11: Ordinary People, Remarkable Stories, a timely and moving theater piece from the Common Ground Community, a group of performers whose lives were directly affected by the events of Sept. 11, 2001.

Created in 2008 and shared with audiences in theaters, churches, libraries and schools, Performing Tribute 9/11 weaves together a number of individuals perspectives—a family member who lost her husband, survivors of the north and south towers, a Department of Sanitation employee who helped in the recovery.

Michael Arad, designer of the World Trade Center Memorial, has praised the play as "a profound performance that shows the heroism of people who have chosen to respond to devastation and hatred with quiet determination and a belief that they can and will make the world a better place."

This event, which includes a talk-back after the performance, is presented free of charge.
