The State of Employment in New York City
Join us for an informative and always entertaining overview of the current job market in New York City with an emphasis on which sectors are expected to perform particularly well in 2017 and which areas will weaken. Our instructor, Jim Brown, is an economist with the City of New York and a labor market analyst since 1985. He also oversees the Hudson Valley and Long Island offices of the Bureau of Labor Market Information.
Founded in 1950, the Employment Advisory program at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church is one of the oldest employment groups in the city. Our mission is to help people seeking employment or exploring new career options, as well as those who want to stay up to date in a fast-changing job market.
Employment Advisory programs are scheduled on the third Tuesday of the month (not including holidays) from 6:30 until 8 pm. All programs are free and open to all.
