Men's Association

The Men's Association of Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church seeks to engage in fellowship, faith formation and service with the various organizations of FAPC. The Men's Association is open to all and provides a safe environment to express their pursuit of faith in Jesus Christ as it reflected through the men of FAPC and the greater New York City area.

Recent programs and events have included:

  • How to Prevent a Heart Attack: Dr. Antonio Gotto, Dean of Cornell Weill Medical College
  • Mets game
  • Women's Association Joy of Christmas Bazaar: Logistics Support

Fifth Avenue Fellowship

Fifth Avenue Fellowship Club was formed to bring members of all ages together to enjoy fellowship at events planned throughout the year. This group truly embodies FAPC's motto, "All are Welcome!"


Activities include:

  • Sunday brunches/lunches (often holiday themed)
  • Concerts
  • Group dinners with guest speakers 
  • Cocktail parties with guest performers 
  • and more... 

 
FAFC looks forward to offering an exciting program of events and providing a venue for our members to meet new people and maintain old friendships.

Couples Club

The Couples Club extends a warm welcome to committed couples of all ages (dating, engaged or married, gay or straight) to meet other couples, develop new friendships and maintain relationships with old friends. The Club meets regularly for fun and fellowship. We engage in a wide range of activities, on our own and with the wider FAPC family. Many events are held in conjunction with NEXT Couples and Parents Night Out, a program of Family Ministries.

Here's what we have planned for 2011-12:
 

  • Saturday, Jan. 21 - Saturday, Jan. 21 - Celebrate National Hug Day with an early evening wine tasting led by NEXT Couples member Valerie Corbin.
  • Saturday, Feb. 12 - The annual Reaffirmation of Marriage Vowsservice in our intimate Kirkland Chapel, with the Rev. Charlene H. Powell presiding.  A potluck reception follows in the Christian Education Center.
  • Saturday, March 10 - The New York Historical Society has reopened after an 18-month re-invigoration.  Couples Club member and NYHSdocent Jeanne Pape will introduce us to treasures of New York during a private, guided tour at 4 pm,with dinner following at a nearby restaurant.
  • Saturday, April 21 - An evening of silliness as we guess words from the artistic endeavors of our friends at a Pictionary Party. 
  • Friday, May 11 - Watch the sunset over the Hudson from an elegant terrace with a Cinco de Mayo flair.
  • Friday, June 15 - Start a summer weekend with a boat ride around lower Manhattan.
  • July TBD - Cheer on the Baby Bombers of the Staten Island Yankees.

Recent events: 

  • Abbodanza, a celebration of the harvest with an Italian family dinner
  • A Broadway revival of Godspell
  • Christmas Celebration with the Couples Club
