Hospitality plays a key role in the life of the church. This committee is designed to bring our congregation together at various churchwide functions throughout the year, enabling large numbers of Fifth Avenue's members to meet, become involved and stay connected to the church.
Churchwide events that we coordinate include Homecoming, Thanksgiving Dinner, and a luncheon after the annual congregational meeting.
Come be a part of our group! Join the Hospitality Host Program. This program started in the Spring of 2005. Hosts' roles are to greet and welcome individuals at the Coffee Hour. Many people that attend coffee hour don't know anyone (maybe they are new to the church or are current members that haven't had a chance to meet other fellow FAPC members), and they are seeking Christian, social fellowship. No special talent is needed to be a host, except a warm heart and a friendly smile!
The time commitment is small. Hosts generally serve once every 10 weeks or so. This is a great way to get to know people and give time to our church. If you have questions, want more information, or want to volunteer, contact Lynn Pitz at
