The Women's Association of Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church advances the work of the Kingdom of God by bringing together the women of this church in friendship through a program of education, service, prayer and giving. The Women's Association riases funds for benevolence giving to those in need at FAPC and beyond our church walls though over 35 benevolence organizations.

We invite you to join and participate in the following weekly programs of your choice:

Sunday
- Teams of men and women volunteers pour beverages and greet members and visitors at the coffee hour following worship services in Bonnell Hall (2nd Floor).

Monday
- From 10:30 am to 3:30 pm the Craft Group meets on the 5th floor to make original hand-crafted items that are sold at our annual Joy of Chistmas Bazaar. 
 
Tuesday
- From 11:00 - 11:45 am the Prayer Group meets on the 5th floor and offers prayers and supplications for those in need. 
 Any and all who have prayer concers are welcome to contact The Women's Assocation. 
- From 12:00 noon - 1:00 pm The Women's Association meets for lunch and a program of speakers and a variety of entertainment in Bonnell Hall (2nd Floor). 
Lunch is $10 for Women's Association Members or $15 for non-members. 
- Between 1:30 - 3:30 pm the Speaking English Program tutors meet one on one for an hour with foreign language students on the 5th floor. 
Both volunteer tutors and students are needed. 
- From 1:30 - 4:00 pm the Mary Jane Lightbown Bridge Club meets for Bridge in Bonnell Hall (2nd Floor).  

The major fundraising event for benevolence giving is the annual Joy of Christmas Bazaar held during the first weekend of November (November 4-5, 2011).  
- Donations of new or gently-used clothing (men and women's), artwork, decorative items, antiques, linens, women's accessories, and jewelery are accepted throughout the year. (The following items are NOT accepted: books, toys, electrical appliances, and kitchen items.) 

Items made by The Women's Association Craft Group may be purchased throughout the year by contacting the Women's Association Office at 212.247.0490 x3041. Hand-crocheted and knitted afghans are given to many homebound members and others through benevolence organizations. 

Christian Women's Association
