Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church is committed to helping you raise your child in a faith community. That commitment begins from birth. Our nursery is dedicated to nurturing children from infancy to three years old by providing a safe place to experience and learn about God.

Our nurseries are staffed with both loving, experienced professional care givers and parent volunteers. The infant nursery (Room 1 in the LaDane Williamson Christian Education Center(CEC)) is for newborn babies to the walking stage. The toddler nursery (Rooms 2 and 3 in the CEC) is designed for steady walkers.

Child Safety and Care

Your child's well-being is of paramount importance to us. To ensure their safety we require that all children be registered for the nursery. Click here to register on-line or you may register on Sundays in the CEC. Registering your child enables us to:

• Contact you when/if necessary
• Keeps us informed with your child's allergies, medications and special needs
• Ensures a safe dismissal process

Nursery Hours

The nursery is open Sundays from 9:00 am to 12:45 pm. Childcare is provided during both worship services by bringing your child to the CEC before the service and picking them up after. Infant Baptism

Baptism is a special event in the life of a family and child. It represents God's unconditional and covenant love. Baptism usually occurs during infancy, though a person may be baptized at any age. Parents bring their baby to church, where they publically declare their desire that s/he be baptized. When an infant or child is baptized the church commits itself to nuture the child in faith.
