Sunday school at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church is committed to nuturing your child's faith formation. Sunday school is open to all children pre-kindergarten through the fifth grade. During this hour children engage in dynamic biblical lessons, activities and music.
What to expect on Sunday morning:
- 9:15 - 9:30 - Check-in and registration
- 9:30 - 9:45 - Gathering Worship (all ages)
- 9:45 - 10:30 - Lesson and activity (age specific)
- 10:15 - 10:50 - Children's choir

Safety and Discipline
Your child's well-being is of paramount importance to us. To ensure their safety we require that all children be registered for Sunday school. Click here to register on-line or you may register on Sundays in the CEC. Registering your child enables us to:
- Contact you when/if necessary
- Keeps us informed with your child's allergies, medications and special needs
- Ensures a safe dismissal process
While our goal is for each child to have a fun and encouraging experience, we must guarantee every child's safety by being consistent about discipline. Our Sunday school teachers will use a graded disciplinary process which entails: 1.) verbal warning, 2.) five minute supervised time-out, 3.) call a guardian to pick up the child from the CEC.
Volunteer to be a Sunday School Teacher
One of the most enriching ways to serve the Church and learn more about God is to volunteer as a Sunday school teacher. Experience is not required, all you need is a love of children and a desire to help them grow in their faith. You may volunteer for a few weeks or for an entire year; any time commitment is appreciated. To sign-up please fill out the Teacher Registration and Permission for Background Check forms.
