Enchanted April is the Tony-nominated stage adaptation of the 1922 novel by Elizabeth Von Arnim, which also inspired a 1992 film starring Miranda Richardson and Joan Plowright. It's a story of four women's rediscovery of self, love and fulfillment as they leave postwar London in 1922 to embark on an Italian adventure.
Doug Paulson, who starred in Theatre Fellowship's Arsenic and Old Lace in 2005, returns to direct the production. Victoria McNaughton is assistant director/dramaturg. FAPC's Linda Ferm produces, and Matt Roush is stage manager. The eight-member cast includes Max Beckman, John Gazzale, Lydia Kalmen, Josie Lawrence, Janet Luhrs, Linda Vega, Michael Whitten and Joscelyne Wilmouth.
Evening performances are set for 7 pm Thursday through Saturday, March 16-18, and Tuesday through Saturday, March 21-25. Matinees are scheduled for 2 pm Sunday, March 19, and Sunday, March 26. All performances are in Jones Auditorium.
Tickets for the March 16 preview are $15. Tickets for the remaining performances are $25 for general admission and $35 for reserved seating.
