Bowery Mission

Bowery MissionFor more than 40 years, on the fourth Sunday of the month, volunteers from Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church have led evening worship and served dinner to residents of the Bowery Mission in lower Manhattan. Founded in 1879, the Bowery is the third-oldest gospel mission in the United States. It is a place where homeless men can begin life again, empowered by Jesus’ message of salvation and God’s enduring love.
