The next Employment Advisory Program will be held on
January 7, 2009
The
Employment Advisory Committee was founded in 1950 and is one of the oldest
church-sponsored employment groups in the City. Our mission is to help
people seeking employment or exploring new career options, as well as
those who want to stay up to date in a fast-changing job market.
The Committee develops and presents free job search, career planning and
networking meetings on the first and third Tuesdays of every month, except
during holiday periods. Recent programs have focused on résumé
writing, interviewing, improving personal presentation skills, and job
resources on the Internet.
The Committee needs people who know and understand the skills that are
needed to conduct a successful job search, as well as those with a marketing
and/or publicity background.
"I always look forward to my presentations at the Employment Advisory
Committee's Job Search Series because the audience is lively, diverse,
and so responsive."
