Benevolance GrantsBenevolence grants, allocated annually, support the mission of Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church to promote well-being among God's people.

In general, funding focuses on organizations that:

  • promote the welfare of the church or humanity by displaying God's grace
  • have insufficient access to other sources of funding
  • allow the dollars to make an impact and enable us to see measurable results
  • provide, where possible, opportunities for our church members to become involved in the work of the organization.
Categories for FAPC Benevolence Grants include:
  • Children/families
  • Theological education
  • Elderly
  • Health
  • Hunger/Homelessness
  • International  

Some recipients of the more than 40 organizations to receive FAPC grants in 2011 are: 

  • Inwood House, New York City
  • Healthcare Chaplaincy, New York City
  • United Neighbors of East Midtown, New York City
  • Build Prison Ministries, Uganda
  • The Bridge, New York City
  • Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter, New York City
  • FJKM Ambohidrano Andrefana, Madagascar
  • GOAL Project, Lititz, Pennsylvania
Organizations wishing to be considered for possible funding may download an application form or request one from the Outreach Office. Please note that the application deadline for upcoming grants is February 1, 2012. For grant applications and more information, contact:
