Dear fellow members of Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church,
There are many biblical scholars who believe that this single act of our Lord represents one of the most powerful examples of servant leadership, of humility and of love for humankind. How can it be otherwise?
I am writing to ask each of you for your help and support as servants of our Lord, as we begin our 2008 search for new servant leaders of FAPC.
We are seeking Ten Elders, Fifteen Deacons, Six Trustees and Five members at large to join our existing officers and pastoral staff in guiding FAPC through the next three years.
Please help. Please help by giving prayerful consideration to your own time, talent and desire to serve and to the time and talent of those among us whom you believe can also lead.
Recommending is easy. You have the following options:
1. PRINT the recommendation form now available to recommend yourself or any other member of our church. Leave the form at reception, hand it to members of the Officer Nominating Committee who will be waiting for you near our Bicentennial store every Sunday from January 27th onwards, or leave it in the box available at coffee hour.
2. DOWNLOAD the Word version of the recommendation form and e-mail it as an attachement to nominations@fapc.org.
Won't you please help? Our congregation is filled with wonderful, loving men and women of deep and abiding faith. Come forward and serve as so many have done over the past 200 years.
