FAPC Serves

  • Audio for this sermon will be available on Monday.

FAPC Serves, our all-congregation day of service, returns on Saturday, May 4. Details and registration below!

Over the past six years, more than 500 members and friends of the congregation have participated in FAPC Serves. This day of service has become one of the most looked-forward-to Outreach events of the year. We are expanding our opportunities this year to include the collection of donated items prior to May 4, and two additional service opportunities after May 4, so that everyone can participate, even if you can’t make the day-of!

On May 4, we’ll begin with registration at 9 am in the LaDane Williamson Christian Education Center. Following breakfast and a commissioning service, all volunteers will meet with their team leaders, head to their work sites and work until early afternoon.

UPDATE: Contact Lance Hurst directly if you have not registered but would like to participate. Don’t bother with the registration form!

What’s this event about?

FAPC Serves was created by the Outreach Committee in 2013 as a means of:

  • Encouraging community service.
  • Highlighting the multi-generational aspect of service.
  • Strengthening our ties with a local partner in ministry.
  • Demonstrating the love of Christ by volunteering time and talent.
  • Learning from the organizations we partner with.
  • Experiencing God in new and exciting ways.

Here’s how you can be part of it:

STEP 1 - CHOOSE A WORK SITE

Scroll down to read about the available projects, and think about where you would like to participate. You may participate individually or as a family. (Children under age 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.)

Please note that we have two opportunities that do not take place on May 4.

STEP 2 - SIGN UP ONLINE

On the sign-up form, we will ask you to identify your top three choices of where you will spend the day. We will make every effort to assign you to the site of your choice, but it’s first come/first served, so sign up early! We will send out assignments the week of April 29.

The online registration deadline has passed. Contact Lance Hurst directly to sign up.

STEP 3 - CHECK IN & GO!

For those serving on May 4, please plan to arrive at the LaDane Williamson Christian Education Center by 9 am on Saturday. (Except for Operation Exodus volunteers; see below.) You will check in with your team and receive your t-shirt that morning.
