African Burial Ground National Monument Tour
Join us for a reflective journey to the African Burial Ground National Monument, where we’ll honor the lives and legacies of enslaved and free Africans who contributed to the construction and culture of colonial New York. Rediscovered in 1991 during construction on Broadway, this sacred 6-acre site revealed over 15,000 skeletal remains dating back to the 1630s, transforming our understanding of New York’s history.
This visit invites us to engage with our faith’s call to remember and honor these ancestors, deepening our awareness of justice and the contributions of those who came before us. There will be an option to gather for lunch after the tour together.
