Egyptian Craft Sale

For the ninth consecutive year, Fifth Avenue hosts this sale of handcrafted rugs, quilts, stationery and gifts from the Zabbaleen community of Cairo. The Zabbaleen are Coptic Christians who make their living collecting and sorting the garbage of the city. Zabbaleen women and girls use discarded paper and textile remnants to create their merchandise. Proceeds from their sales fund local schools.

This event is a collaboration with Hands Along the Nile Development Services, a Fifth Avenue mission partner.

The sale is on from 12 until 7 pm today and tomorrow (Tuesday, May 7, and Wednesday, May 8) in the LaDane Williamson Christian Education Center.
