Faith and Fiction: Julie Chen Moonves Talks with Min Jin Lee

Best-selling author Min Jin Lee reads the Bible everyday before she writes and finds that most of the artists in her circle think it’s strange that she goes to church. Faithful, church-going characters are also in the minority in her novel Pachinko (2017), a multigenerational epic of one Korean family and its long exile in Japan. Television personality Julie Chen Moonves sits down with Lee to hear how faith has influenced her work as an author, guided her to take a big career risk and leave corporate law, and given her courage to speak out for issues affecting the Asian American community.
