Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day

Every year, at the winter solstice, Care for the Homeless holds a Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day program to commemorate those who have passed away in the past year without stable housing, and to advocate for policies to prevent and end homelessness. This year’s event is presented in partnership with Urban Pathways.

The event begins with supper at 4:30 pm, followed by the program at 5:30. During the memorial the names of those who have died are read as a bell tolls, a candle is lit, and information about each person is projected on a screen.

This event is free and open to all.
