Lenten Spiritual Practice: The Labyrinth

Ever feel like the life of faith is full of twists and turns? The Labyrinth uses those twists and turns as a path to a clear mind and renewed purpose.

For many people of faith, labyrinths are a symbol of pilgrimage: walking the path can help our souls ascend toward salvation or enlightenment. Labyrinths have been used historically in group ritual and for private meditation, and are increasingly found for therapeutic use in hospitals and hospices.

Join Jaime Staehle, director of Christian education, to learn how the ancient symbol of the labyrinth can enrich your Lenten journey.

This class is part of a series of introductory seminars on spiritual disciplines we are offering throughout Lent. Each class is designed to provide the basic techniques of each discipline, while allowing ample time to start practicing them yourself. We encourage you to try as many of these classes as possible—perhaps you will find one (or more) that will become a standard part of your spiritual journey! Upcoming classes are listed on the right.

All classes are free and open to all. Registration is not required, but it will help us to know how many participants to expect. Please RSVP to Jaime Staehle ([email protected]) if you plan to join us.
