Perils & Promise of a Big-Tent Faith: Lessons from the Civil Rights Era

We live in one of the most diverse societies that humanity has ever known and in an era marked by hyper-polarization. Must we choose between love and justice? In the story of how ecumenical Protestants navigated the Civil Rights era we’ll find both inspiration and cautionary tales for church and nation alike as we approach the 250th anniversary. Dr. Heath Carter, Associate Professor of American Christianity at Princeton Theological Seminary will lead this class. Food will be served in Jones Auditorium. This class will be recorded for later viewing.
