Welcome Alyssanne Vella, our 2021–2022 Seminary Intern!

We are excited to welcome one of our two 2021–2022 Seminary Interns this summer. Alyssanne joins the Fifth Avenue team this June and will be working throughout the season with our 20s+30s ministry and in our weekly Online Worship.

Born and raised in Bradenton, Florida, she is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Princeton Theological Seminary (PTS.) Alyssanne shares that she has a long history with the Christian faith from different viewpoints. She says, “I grew up in Palma Sola Presbyterian Church in Bradenton. I was involved with the youth group there and with Young Life when it partnered with our church.”

In her PTS studies, she is exploring many ministry options including chaplaincy. However, she is particularly interested in The Farminary, Fifth Avenue’s newest Mission Partner. She credits Pastor Werner with being an influence in this direction and deepening her commitment to her studies, “Werner and a few of his friends created a program through Princeton Theological Seminary at the Farminary for young adults. They created a loving space where we could explore and discern our career paths, skills, goals and development.”

The Rev. Werner Ramirez is looking forward to the unique gifts that Alyssanne will bring to the 20s+30s. He says, “Alyssanne will thrive at Fifth Avenue with her warmth and care. She has met some of our young adults already, and there is a beautiful pastoral spark already happening there.”

It’s an enthusiasm shared by Alyssanne. She says, “I am so excited to meet everyone and be a part of this community!”
