More Friends, Less Stuff

  • Audio for this sermon will be available on Monday.

As we age, our attachment to possessions of sentimental value becomes stronger, and we may find ourselves overcrowded by things. At the same time, maintaining relationships can prove challenging, as friends move away or die. In this interactive workshop, Nancy Houghton and Patricia Baker from Health Advocates for Older People suggest strategies for maintaining safe and pleasant home environments, and for strengthening communities of friends, to ensure health and fulfilment in our later years.

The Circle: Conversations about Health, Wellness & Spirituality is a monthly educational forum open to all who are interested in understanding the variety of needs—mental health issues, end-of-life decisions, spiritual crises and more—that arise in a community of faith, and gaining skills to respond with compassionate care to those in need.
