Homecoming Sunday

Senior Pastor Scott Black Johnston returns to the pulpit with a new sermon series, Curate Your Heart, as we celebrate Homecoming Sunday. This morning we worship as one community, starting at 11 am in the Sanctuary. Following worship, we invite you to our annual Homecoming Celebration in Bonnell Hall. Next Sunday (Sept. 15) we return to our regular worship schedule, with services at 9:30 am in Kirkland Chapel and 11 am in the Sanctuary.

And this is my prayer, that your love may overflow more and more with knowledge and full insight to help you to determine what is best, so that in the day of Christ you may be pure and blameless, having produced the harvest of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ for the glory and praise of God. —Philippians 1:9-11

The next day John again was standing with two of his disciples, and as he watched Jesus walk by, he exclaimed, “Look, here is the Lamb of God!” The two disciples heard him say this, and they followed Jesus. When Jesus turned and saw them following, he said to them, “What are you looking for?” They said to him, “Rabbi” (which translated means Teacher), “where are you staying?” He said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where he was staying, and they remained with him that day. It was about four o’clock in the afternoon. —John 1:35-39
